Karak (Dj Set)

Diggin’ deep in the vaults of different genres, Karak’s musical journey could only be described as an eclectic fusion of different styles that fall far from each other.

Having his roots in hip-hop, he started making pause scratch tapes at very young age, realising only later, that this was the way off  making beats back in the days. His love for  the golden age era sound opened up new directions in his musical taste, trying to get more and more knowledge about the samples used in his favorite records. Since then he collected and experimented with a vast range of headnod inciting beats from ocean deep dubs, to abstract drum pattern driven bass music, through more classical sounds like jazz or funk.

Nowadays he founds joy in the hidden layers of world music, looking for the perfect beat between dusty vinyl shelves, searching for lesser-known afro-carribean and latin rhythms, matching them with just the right touch of electronica.
